I'll stamp all over 'credible boxer' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight round fight which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the pair met personally to publicize the upcoming boxing match.

Ex two time world boxing king Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge disparity - at Miami arena on December 19th.

Fighter's Attitude

"I plan to injure his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm superior," Joshua, 35, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I intend to really want to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Civil Interaction

Despite these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually famous for his dramatics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead criticized former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after the Cameroonian turned down a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted British opponent Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since turning professional.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

Nevertheless, the novice is still one of the sport's biggest commercial attractions, regularly earning huge paydays.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old forecast a stoppage in round four or five and asserted he would prevent the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently being planned for 2026.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.

Physical Disparity

As the two fighters met for the usual face-off, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it highlighted just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is really going ahead.
